Our Process
We Bring Your Project to Life
At Pro-Jax, we believe a successful build starts with clear planning, open communication and the right process. Here’s how we take your project from idea to completion — step by step.
1. Initial Enquiry & Site Visit
Every project starts with a face-to-face meeting on-site to discuss your ideas, goals and plans for the renovation. Visiting the property allows us to assess the existing structure, see your vision and offer honest advice around practicalities, possibilities and any likely adjustments.
2. Design, Drafting & Working Drawings
Next, we help bring your ideas to life with professionally drawn plans. We can arrange a meeting with a designer to create a scaled floor plan, which can be refined with your feedback. The designer will recommend the best use of space, construction methods and layout adjustments to suit your goals and budget. Once the concept is finalised, a draftsman will prepare working drawings. A cost estimate can often be provided at this stage, subject to soil testing and engineering. In most cases, adjustments from these tests are minimal, though changes like footing size may be required.
3. Soil Testing, Engineering & Building Approvals
If you’re happy with the quote and ready to proceed, we’ll arrange the necessary soil tests, engineering reports and certification once a formal contract is signed. A construction date will then be scheduled that suits both parties.
4. Construction
A contract will outline all project details and a clear payment schedule based on work completion milestones. While we plan thoroughly, unforeseen issues — like hidden termite damage — may occasionally arise. These will be addressed through the variation process and only carried out with your approval.
We understand that ideas can evolve during a build. If you request design changes along the way, we’ll support them where possible. Any alterations will be quoted and approved before work continues. We recommend allowing for potential variations in your overall budget when planning your project.
